Domain Seçiminde Dikkat Edilmesi Gerekenler

Önce almak istediginiz domainin tespiti cok onemlidir. Mümkün olduğunca:

Kısa Olması: Bir ya da iki kelimelik domainler idealdir. Ama com uzantılı domainlerin hızla azalması istenilen domainin bulunmasını zorlaştırıyor.

Com Uzantılı Olması: com uzantılı domainler internette bir standart oldu. Bu nedenle mümkün olduğunca com uzantılı domainler tercih edilmelidir. İnsanların hafızasında com uzantılı domainler daha çok yer etmektedir. Ama özel bir dernek, grup vs ise org uzantılı ya da içerik internet ya da bilgisayar ile ilgili ise özellikle net uzantılı alınabilir.

Anlaşılır Olması: Kısaltma şeklinde domainler çok tavsiye edilmez. CIA tüm dünyaca bilinen bir kuruluş olduğu için cia.gov domaini idealdir. Ama daha az bilinenler için kısaltmalar tavsiye edeilmez.

Site İçreğinini İfade Edebilen: En az sözcükle site içeriğini ifade edebilmesi önemlidir.

Global Anlam Olması: Bir domainin global anlamı olması büyük avantajdır. Örneğin global.com, export.com gibi…

Sub (Alt) Domain: Tek başına bir anlam ifade etmeyen ama alt domain ile anlamlı olan domain alınabilir. Önce sub domain ne demektir onu araştıralım:

Sub domain domaininizin başına eklediğiniz ve arada . (nokta) bulunan domaindir. Örneğin belediyesi.com diye bir domain aldınız. Bu domaine çeşitli sub domaniler ile yeni domainler elde edebilirsiniz. Mesela bakirköy.belediyesi.com, avcilar.belediyesi.com gibi sonsuz sayıda belediyesi.com domaininin alt domainlerini oluşturabilirsiniz.

İnternette bazı sitelerde domainlerin başında bulunan www kısaltması aslında bir sub domaindir. Bir internet jargonu olduğu için www. şeklinde alt domain oluşturulmuş ve asıl domainin kendisi bu alt domaine yönlendirilmiştir.

Sonuç itibari ile sub domainler ile hedeflenen bir domain, kendisi bir anlam ifade etmese bile alınabilir.

İnternetten Nerden Domain Alınır?

Domain satan birçok site mevcuttur. Alınacak domainin özelliğine göre ilgili sitelerden alınmalıdır. Domain alımları genelde senelik yapılır. Dilenirse 2, 3 ya da daha çok sene için ödeme yapılabilir. Tabii maliyette o oranda artacaktır. Domain bitiminde alımın yinelenmesi gereklidir. Eğer belli bir süre sonunda ücret ödenmezse domainin üzerindeki mülkiyet sona erecektir.

Türkçe Domain Alımı: Türkiye’de Türkçe domain alımını ODTÜ bünyesindeki http://www.nic.tr/ vermektedir. Türkçe domain derken Türkçe karakterli domainler degil son uzantısı com.tr, net.tr, org.tr şeklinde tr eklentili uzantılı domainler kastedilmektedir.
